ABOUT US

SCOTT SCHUETZ:
I have been around horses for a long time. It all started when I went to my first boy scout camp, at camp I was very young (probably around 8) and I started to love to be with horses. When I got in Jr. High I started to volunteer at the camp assisting with the horseback riding program. When I entered High School I stopped for a time because I was in the marching band, but after graduation I started to volunteer at the camp again on the weekends. Larry, the main volunteer at the camp and the one who has been doing it for the longest, helped me in June of 2002 to buy Skyetender Sir Duke the 1st at the age of 4 from Jim Neumann. Jim and I became best friends and now ride together often. Below are some pictures of Skye and myself.
Now days I am training horse for all types of different shows and all kinds of different disciplines. I am specialize in Western Riding disciplines, however I have competed in and judged English and Hunter/Jumper shows too.
Along with all the work I do at Schuetz Farms I try to give back to the community that has given me so much. I am an active member of the Madison County Fair Board, Boy Scout Merit Badge Advisor, as well as a 4-H sponsor.
Along with the training that I do I love to trail ride. Trail ridding is something that you can share with your whole family. This is also a great way to bring busy families back together.
In my spare time, if I have any, I have started writing short articles for promotional means. I would like to have these articles published at some time.
BRANDI SCHUETZ:
Joined the Schuetz Farms team in June of 2009 when she married owner Scott Schuetz. Brandi can be found around the farm petting, feeding treats, bathing or brushing the animals. She is excellent with any type of animal from Bull to Goat! While not outside, Brandi is always wiping up something new in the kitchen or perfecting her “Martha Stewart” decorating skills. Her “day” job consists of being an 8th Grade teacher at Highland Middle School. During the summer months Brandi volunteers with the Madison County Fair and enjoys spending time with the newphews, who are already horse lovers.
