SCOTT SCHUETZ - Trainer:
I have been around horses for a long time. It all started when I went to my first Boy Scout Camp when I was 8. Each day at camp we rode and groomed the horses, thus developing my love of horses. When I was in Jr. High I started to volunteer at the Boy Scout Camp assisting with the horseback riding program. Larry, the main volunteer at the camp, and the one who has been doing it for the longest, helped me in June of 2002 to buy Skyetender Sir Duke the 1st at the age of 4 from Jim Neumann. Jim and I became best friends and now ride together often. Below are some pictures of Skye and myself.

Now days I am training and fitting horses for all Halter classes. I currently have a yearling SBP mare and a yearling Ovaro gelding who I am training and showing in Halter classes on the APHA circuit.

Along with all the work I do at Schuetz Farms, I try to give back to the community that has given me so much. I am an active member of the APHA, Illinois Paint Horse Club, Iowa Paint Horse Club, Kentucky Paint Horse Association, Boy Scout Merit Badge Advisor, and previously was a 4-H sponsor.

Along with the training that I do I love to trail ride. Trail ridding is something that you can share with your whole family. This is also a great way to bring busy families back together.

In my spare time, if I have any, I have started writing short articles for promotional means. I would like to have these articles published at some time.

BRANDI SCHUETZ - Owner:
I joined the Schuetz Farms team in June of 2009 when I married Scott Schuetz. In the summer I can be found around the farm petting, feeding treats, bathing or brushing the animals. I enjoy working with all types of animals. Don't laugh, but I have even tamed a bull. When not outside I enjoy cooking, scrap booking, and reading.  I also enjoy volunteering for various organizations and spending time with the nephews, who are already horse lovers. Being involved in my community is important to me. I love to learn and have been teaching school for the past 5 years. I taught three years in Alton and the last two years in Highland. I have recently learned to ban horses and prep them for shows!
